WHAT WE’RE ABOUT
At West Shore, we are serious about removing barriers, and very serious about Truth.  As the Youth Minister, I find it extremely exciting to be part of such a well knit, diverse group.  When you are here, you are not only accepted, but you have a part to play as well!
OUR VISION
We are striving to become a biblically literate, “kingdom minded” people.  Scripture is God’s love letter to us, our sustenance.  We should be consuming it everyday.  This life is not our home.  Our home is His coming Kingdom.  Therefore, we should be focused on the “task at hand.”
“But when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, you will receive power and will tell people about me everywhere--in Jerusalem, throughout Judea, in Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”
Acts 1:8

Kids’ Church

Kids’ Church meets in the Children’s Arena while the adults are in the main worship sanctuary of Sunday Mornings. Kids K5 through 5th grade are invited to meet with Mrs. Kim, Mrs. Vicky or Mrs. Debbie for a fun time of learning about God .

Coming Soon!
Our Children’s Arena is under construction so we are meeting in an adjacent room for lessons and crafts. As soon as we are finished, we will have an exciting arena for Kids’ Worship and drama and varying age-levels of instruction and small group activities.

Nursery

The Hatchlings
…is the name of our multi-level, multi-staff nursery which is located across three separate suites in our Children’s Arena. It is always open for our 10AM Sunday service, and for any of our Wednesday Night gatherings, as well as other events as announced.

We have a separate, newly-built and state-of-the-art equipped room for Infants, a separate equally well-appointed room for Crawlers, and one for Toddlers. They are manned by trained and CPR-certified staff.

Parents can worship in peace, knowing their child is well-cared-for, but just in case, we use a beeper system so that parents can be contacted if the need arises.

Hospitality

The Hospitality Ministry at West Shore is run by all of the members in their respect for everyone who comes through the church doors. We realize that when visitors come to “check out” a church, they need; 1) a friendly atmosphere—a sense that they have entered a safe place, AND 2) the ability to remain “anonymous” until they have found their comfort level. You will be greeted in a relaxed atmosphere, and you will also not be asked to stand up and be recognized, or anything else of a public nature.

Our Hospitality TEAM ensures that there are plenty of refreshments to feed the body, as well as the soul at our general meeting events. Juice, coffee, tea and all sorts of treats await you just in case you’re running a little late in the morning, or rushed over to church right after work. At West Shore we always want you to feel free to bring whatever you found to eat or drink in the lobby right into the main meeting space. In this comfy room we have sofas, coffee tables, and easy chairs on the lower level and bar-top tables on the upper level. We want you to feel at-ease, and not as though you’ve just come into that “untouchable living room” that you sometimes encounter in some people’s houses. At West Shore it’s all about you and helping you to find your way to a loving Father.

Kathy McGhee and Ida Moore lead the hospitality team, and you will find them hanging around the kitchen before and after a service. If you would like to help them in this ministry just let them know. They are extremely open and receptive and will happily find a place for you.
